Kate McMahon


Kate has 30 + years experience in the field of Medical Negligence*. She has a wealth of experience as an advisor to the medical defence industry and has been involved in landmark, precedent cases in both the High Court and Supreme Court on a variety of issues to include unconscionable delay in decades old Cerebral Palsy cases, fixed apportionment and liability and causation arguments. Kate also has vast experience in co-ordinating tactics on cases and has unrivalled knowledge in the field of Personal Injury*. Her expertise is shared by way of lecturing to students and colleagues of the Law Society on issues pertaining to Medical Negligence* and Personal Injury* within the Civil Litigation Diploma Course. Kate has also lectured to the Irish Nurses Organisation and the Mater School of Nursing. She was a legal advisor to the Peer Review Group of the Irish College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and was a member of the interview panel for the procurement of legal services for the Mid-Western Health Board.
 

David Andrews


Since joining the practice in 2010 David has worked on several high value, complex High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court cases. As an Associate Solicitor, David has worked and gained vast experience in Civil Litigation* particularly in the areas of Medical Negligence*, Employment and Personal Injury* Law. He has acted successfully for both Plaintiff's and Defendant's and has achieved successful results before the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Equality Tribunal, the Labour Court, and the Workplace Relations Commission. David became a Partner in 2022.
